These Strumming Pattern for sure will cover 90% Bollywood Songs and 100% with Improvisation:

      4/4 Beats songs

• D DU UDU                            
• D UDUD UDUD DU           (Last DU Stroke is filler and depends on type of song)
• D UUD UUD DU                (Similarly last DU Stroke depends on the type of song)
• DD UUD DDU
• DDD UUD DDU                (By just adding an extra D stroke in above pattern)

       

     3/4 Beats songs

•  D DU DU

     6/8 Beats songs

• D UDUD UDU

That's it my Friends with the little bit of improvisation you can play all Bollywood songs but firstly try to practise this strumming pattern especially all 4/4 because it alone will cover most of the song.Try to practise these patterns with songs as much as you can and slowly you will understand Beats by your own only.
